Subaru PH Will Offer A Longer Warranty For Its New Cars Starting July 1

Subaru now has one of the longest warranties in the industry.

Motor Image Pilipinas, Inc. the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in the Philippines, will be increasing the warranty of its new cars to five years or up to 100,000 kilometers (whichever comes first) from July 1, 2019, for all models excluding the WRX STI.

The five-year bumper-to-bumper warranty is applicable to all Subaru models distributed by Motor Image Pilipinas, Inc. and its authorized dealers. Meanwhile, the WRX STI will also come with a longer 3-year/60,000-kilometer bumper-to-bumper warranty, whichever comes first. This differs from the previous industry standard 3-year/100,000-kilometer warranty, while the WRX STI originally had a 1-year/20,000-kilometer warranty. Owners who book a new Subaru from July 1, 2019, will be eligible for this program. This differs from extended warranty schemes which provide reduced coverage in subsequent years.

With its 5-year/100,000-kilometer bumper-to-bumper warranty, Subaru is now one of the industry leaders when it comes to offering a lengthy and generous warranty for every new vehicle it sells.

Owners must adhere to the scheduled service intervals, conducted at authorized Subaru service centers, to be covered by the warranties. Motor Image Pilipinas, Inc. will not be able to extend this program to drivers who use non-genuine parts or carry out technical alterations not authorized or approved by the company. Other terms and conditions apply.
