Honda Cars Philippines has sent notifications to owners about a voluntary safety recall regarding the car’s suspected defect in the driver’s side airbag inflator.
More than 199,00 units are affected, and if you still haven’t received a letter yet, you can check it at their website’s recall section by clicking this link if your car is affected. The website shows a series of VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) checker so that you could easily see if your vehicle is affected. Thankfully, upon checking, my Civic is not part of the recall.
Upon contacting them via their mobile at 0917-832-6902, I was able to double check and my Civic fortunately isn’t included. You may also contact them through 1-800-1000-HONDA (46632) or +63 2 857-7240 from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. You can also email them at firstname.lastname@example.org
My father’s 2010 CR-V, however, is included.
The fix will be done within 1 hour through all of Honda’s 37 dealers and 3 service outlets.
