With only 19 units to be produced, the Lamborghini Sián Roadster is the drop-top version of the Sián hypercar. If you’re interested in one, you’re out of luck because even before Lamborghini unveiled this hypercar to the public today, all 19 units have already been spoken for.

Just like the coupe, the roadster has a radically-designed exterior. While its overall silhouette is similar to the Aventador on which it is based, the Sián looks strikingly different in many areas. The most distinctive feature of the Sián is the slim vents running from the front all the way to the back of the hypercar. Lamborghini says that there are some details inspired by the Countach supercar, including the “Periscopio” line that runs from the rear of the cabin all the way to the rear end of the vehicle. There are also a pair of striking aero wings, which can integrate into the deployable rear spoiler when going at high speeds.

The interior of the Lamborghini Sián Roadster also has a lot of striking details, such as the gold details. Of course, because this is a limited production run, all Siáns will be built with specific customizations in mind from discerning customers.

Under the hood of the Lamborghini Sián Roadster is the same hybrid powertrain in the coupe version. Lamborghini’s most powerful production model to date has a 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 engine mated to a 48-volt electric motor. The combined output is 819 hp with power going through all four wheels via a 7-speed semi-automatic transmission.

What sets Lamborghini’s system apart from other hybrids is the fact that it uses a supercapacitor instead of a lithium-ion battery. The supercapacitor is three times lighter than an equivalent battery and has the ability to be charged and discharged quickly. As a result, a simple jab of the brakes while on the track can already fully-charge the battery, which then lets the electric motors provide an instant boost when getting out of a corner.
