When the standard Nissan Z is too tame for you, this is the sports car that you should take. Say hello to the 2025 Nissan Z Nismo, the hotter, souped-up version of the standard Z whose performance and looks have been upgraded in order to make this an even better sports car.

Let’s start with what’s under its hood, which is the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 as the standard Z. However, its output has been boosted from 383 horses to 420 horsepower, while torque increases from 475 Nm to 521 Nm. This is complemented by a new Sport+ mode, while the Mercedes-Benz-sourced nin-speed automatic has been improved for faster shifts through revised clutch packs. The revised engine management software also allows for 50 percent reduced downshift time, while a new Launch Control has also been added.
Thankfully, the Nissan Z Nismo also has upgraded handling that’s been achieved through the unique stabilizer bars, stiffer springs, larger dampers, and added chassis bracing. Stiffer front and rear suspension bushings, as well as stiffer mounts for the steering further improve the car’s structural rigidity. Finally, the brakes form with larger 15-inch front rotors and larger 13.8-inch rear rotors, while the 19-inch forged wheels are wrapped in Dunlop SP sport Maxx GT600 tires, whose width is 10 mm wider at the rear wheels.

Complementing the added performance is an exterior design that’s sportier and more aggressive. The front bumper is new and features a better integrated lower air intake, while a red strip surrounds the front skirt, rocker panels, and the rear bumper. There are also subtle wheel arch extensions, and finally, new color choices, including the Nismo Stealth Pearl that’s coated in this particular unit.

Moving inside the Nissan Z Nismo, the interior has been improved with an anodized red finish for the engine start button and drive mode selector, while the large fully-digital gauges have a Nismo-specific animations and graphics. There’s of course the obligatory use of more red stitching details, while the use of Alcantara has been applied on the new Recaro seats and the steering wheel. Other features to highlight include a Bose sound system, an 8-inch Nissan Connect infotainment with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, among other features.
The 2025 Nissan Z Nismo will be heading to dealers in early 2025, with each unit to be sold for P4,688,000.
