First teased at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), the 2026 Lynk & Co 08 EM-P is now in the Philippines as the Sino-Swedish automaker’s newest three-row plug-in hybrid premium SUV. The launch of the 08 EM-P coincides with the opening of Lynk & Co North EDSA, its newest flagship dealership.
As a recap, Lynk & Co is a brand that was formed by Geely and Volvo. It is distributed in the Philippines through United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), together with Foton, Chery, and BAIC. The Lynk & Co 08 EM-P uses Geely Group’s CMA Evo platform, which is also used by vehicles such as the Volvo XC40 and, eventually, the upcoming XC70.
Immediately making a bold statement is the 2026 Lynk & Co 08 EM-P’s design. Donning the brand’s so-called “Next-Day” design language, the 08 EM-P stands out with its very clean front end characterized by merely a lower air intake, as well as a full-width bar that cleverly houses the main adaptive matrix LED headlights. Above those headlights is Lynk & Co’s distinct two-line “Dynamic Day Rays” LED daytime running lights.
Complementing the sleek, minimalist front end is a side profile that contains a side mirror that’s perched on top of the black trim piece, which also features the Lynk & Co script. A contrasting black roof adds depth to the car’s silhouette, while the flush door handles of its frameless doors are both a style piece and a tool to improve its aerodynamics. Lastly, the rear end continues to feature numerous intriguing design touches, including the full-width LED taillights, the sculpted tailgate, and the steeply raked rear end.
As expected from a model developed by Lynk & Co., the interior is truly premium and luxuriously crafted. The materials used punch above their price point, thanks to the use of Nappa Leather across the dash, doors, and seats. Speaking of which, the front seats come with heating and ventilation, as well as a massage that’s perfect for long drives. Drivers are also greeted to a 12.3-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, while the main 15.4-inch infotainment system comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as an immersive 23-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Lastly, a UV-protected panoramic glass roof provides plenty of light to the cabin, but without much heating from the sun.
Outstanding power is provided by the 2026 Lynk & Co 08 EM-P, as its dual electric motors, that’s augmented by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, give it a total system output of 381 horsepower and 615 Nm of torque, which’s good for a 0-100 kph time of just 6.5 seconds. This all-wheel drive (AWD) plug-in hybrid uses a three-speed direct hybrid transmission (DHT), essentially a three-speed automatic specific to hybrids.
Thanks to a 39.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the 08 EM-P has a 200-kilometer WLTP-rated pure electric range, while its combined WLTP-rated range with the fuel tank is up to 1,400 kilometers. As for charging, the battery accepts up to 6.6 kW in AC charging, while DC fast charging is up to 80 kW, which is enough for a 30-80 percent charge in just 30 minutes.
Lastly, Lynk & Co has given the 08 EM-P a whole host of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) with Level 2 autonomy. These features include:

Yet despite its premium interior and build quality, not to mention its cutting-edge tech and copious power, prices for the 2026 Lynk & Co 08 are extremely competitive at P2,498,000. Further sealing the deal is its eight-year or 200,000-kilometer battery warranty, and two years of free periodic maintenance service (PMS).
