Inchcape Philippines, the exclusive distributor of Changan in the country, officially launches the Nevo A05 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) into its electrifying model lineup. Initially previewed during the Changan Exhibition during the Manila International Auto Show last April 2025, at the World Trade Center, Pasay City, the Changan Nevo A05 is the brand’s latest plug-in hybrid electric vehicle sedan in the Philippine market.
Powering the 2026 Changan Nevo A05 Plug-in Hybrid is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder with a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). Together, they produce 212 horsepower and 330 Nm of torque. Thanks to its 18.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, the Nevo A05 has a class-leading 130 km of electric range and a total driving range of 1,250 kilometers, directly putting the BYD Seal 5 DM-i at its crosshairs.
For its exterior design, the A05 presents itself with sharp, elegant, and sophisticated lines. Slim LED headlights and a streamlined front end create a clean and futuristic look, while the 17-inch wheels complement its fastback-like side profile. The rear end also has distinct LED taillights that are complemented by a clean rear fascia.
On the inside, the Nevo A05 comes with functional features such as a 10-inch digital gauge cluster, a large 13.2-inch touchscreen display audio with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, a 6-speaker audio system, and a sunroof. The overall interior vibe is one that is modern yet reasonably premium, thanks to the generous use of soft-touch materials across the interior. The premium feel is further accentuated by its power-adjustable driver’s seat.
Furthermore, the 2026 Changan Nevo A05 also comes with a 540-degree ca (because it can look or at least mesh together the view under the vehicle) camera system, while those same cameras also act as a dashcam. A full-suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) is also fitted–something that even the BYD Seal 5 DM-i lacks. These include Integrated Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB).
The 2026 Changan Nevo Ao5 retails for P1,195,000, firmly right in line with the BYD Seal 5 DM-i Premium and the upcoming Toyota Ativ Hybrid. Until the end of October 2025, customers may bring home their A05 with the special cash savings of P55,000.
