The 2026 Toyota Ativ has just arrived in the Philippines. Don’t call it the Vios Ativ, according to Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP). Just like the Innova Zenix, the Vios Ativ isn’t marketed with the main model name it was supposed to represent. That’s because the new Ativ will still be sold alongside the Philippine-made Vios, as this one is shipped from Thailand.

At this point, you are now familiar with how it looks, so we’ll immediately go down to its specs. Three variants will be sold: 1.3 E, 1.5 G, and 1.5 Hybrid (or HEV). As standard, all three variants come with full LED headlights, smart entry with push-button start, while the 1.3 E and 1.5 Hybrid get 16-inch wheels. Interestingly, the Ativ Hybrid gets five lug nuts, and it has a PCD of 5×100, meaning that wheels from cars like the Corolla Altis and Toyota GR 86 can fit the hybrid. The 1.5 G gets the bigger 17-inch wheels and gloss black exterior trims. LED taillights, meanwhile, are exclusive to the 1.5 G and 1.5 Hybrid, with the latter coming with sequential turn signals.

Like the exterior, only a few features separate the three variants, since all versions utilize a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, automatic climate control, though, oddly enough, rear air conditioning vents are specific to all but the manual-equipped version of the 1.3 E. Interestingly, the 1.3 E gets a dark brown interior, while the 1.5 G comes with an all-black interior. The range-topping 1.5 Hybrid comes with leather upholstery, while the dash on all variants is finished in leatherette.
Infotainment duties are executed through a 9-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the 1.5 Hybrid gets a larger 10.1-inch version of the same infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also unique to this variant, along with wireless charging. Lastly, while all variants come with a reverse camera, only the 1.5 G and Hybrid come with a 360-degree camera.
Powering the 2026 Toyota Ativ are the same engines found in the Vios and the Yaris Cross. The 1.3 E features a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 98 horsepower and 122 Nm, paired with either a five-speed manual or a CVT transmission. The 1.5 G uses a 1.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 106 horsepower and 138 Nm, and is mated only to a CVT. Lastly, the 1.5 Hybrid is the same as that found in the Yaris Cross, which means it has a system output of 111 horsepower. This is mated to a planetary gear e-CVT, while the hybrid system uses a lithium-ion battery.
Lastly, as for advanced safety features, all variants come with the usual suite of airbags (six for 1.5 G and 1.5 Hybrid, two for 1.3 E), electronic stability control, and traction control. Exclusive to the 1.5 Hybrid is the full Toyota Safety Sense suite, which includes automatic emergency braking, full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, blind spot warning, and rear cross traffic alert, just to name a few.
If you want to see the new Ativ for yourself, you can head to the Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater at Taguig from October 24 to 26. Here are the prices of the 2026 Toyota Ativ:
