Jetour Auto Philippines expands its growing lineup of electrified SUVs with rugged style with the launch of the 2026 Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM. The T1 Lightning i-DM is a compact crossover SUV that aims to stand out with its rugged design, which is accompanied by a well-engineered i-DM plug-in hybrid system.
Whereas most competitors in this segment opt for a sleek, car-like appearance, the T1 Lightning i-DM goes all-in on a rugged and boxy design. Echoing the aesthetic that the T2 started, the T1 Lightning i-DM features a bold, wide grille that features animated full-width LED accent lighting. This is flanked by LED headlights to complement its rugged design.
Moving towards the side, you will see a boxy silhouette wherein the D-pillars feature two character lines that visually make the T1 look longer than it actually is. Finally, the rear end likewise mirrors the rugged front end, in which the two LED taillights are visually linked together by two black lines, creating a distinct rear fascia.
Like the exterior, the interior of the 2026 Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM is rugged whilst blending cutting-edge features and tech. The materials used are a mix of premium and tough materials, while the driver is greeted by two large screens: a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster and a main infotainment display is a large 15.6-inch display.
Keeping the cabin both quiet and cool are the 9-layer sun protection glass and 5-layer soundproof glass. This is complemented by features such as Adaptive Ventilation and a 24-hour parked air conditioning function to keep the cabin cool, though, of course, this will have an impact on the battery of the plug-in hybrid system.
Speaking of the plug-in hybrid system, a 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder is mated with an electric motor, whose total system output is an impressive 375 horsepower and 610 Nm of torque. With a 26.7 kWh battery, the size is large enough to support DC fast charging capabilities, which is good for a 30 to 80 percent charge in just 30 minutes. This is good for a 117-kilometer pure electric range, based on the WLTC cycle, while its total driving range is morre than 1,000 kilometers.
Finally, as with every modern car these days, the 2026 Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM is fully packed with advanced driver-assistance features ranging from automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and lane centering, full-speed adaptive cruise control, and a 540-degree camera, among other features. Yes, a 540-degree camera, because it also projects what’s under the vehicle.
The 2026 Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM is now on sale across all of the brand’s dealers nationwide with a price tag of P1,898,000.
