After announcing its impending arrival last month, the 2026 Toyota bZ4X has officially reached Philippine dealers today. The bZ4X serves as Toyota’s entry into the compact electric SUV segment, and it is a direct rival to the Tesla Model Y.
Only one variant is sold, but offered in three different price points due to its color choices. Prices start at P2,699,000 for the Dark Blue Mica, while the other two color options, Platinum White Pearl Mica and Emotional Red, command a P15,000 and P20,000 premium, respectively.
The 2026 Toyota bZ4X is priced right in line with its major competitor, the Tesla Model Y. The Model Y Long Range AWD starts at P2,689,000, which puts it directly as a rival with the bZ4X.
The model to be sold in the Philippines is the range-topping dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) model. This is good for a whopping 338 horsepower, while its range is up to 520 kilometers from its 73.11 kWh lithium-ion battery. As for charging, the bZ4X has a max AC charging speed of 22 kW, while its DC fast charging speed is up to 150 kW.
As for its design, the 2026 Toyota bZ4X comes with a few changes, as this is already the facelifted version. The bZ4X now adopts the so-called “Hammerhead” front fascia, which is characterized by its C-shaped LED daytime running lights that are visually connected by a black horizontal trim piece. The main LED headlights have also been separated from the LED daytime running lights. Since a single fully-loaded model is offered in our market, 20-inch wheels are fitted as standard.
Also part of its mid-cycle facelift is its interior, wherein the new dash design incorporates the new, larger 14-inch infotainment system. The aircon controls have also been integrated into the screen, but thankfully, there are still knobs for quick adjustments. There are also ambient LED light strips around the interior, along with an eight-speaker sound system.
Leatherette upholstery also comes as standard, while those at the front benefit from ventilated seats. Heated seats, however, are fitted to both the front and rear seats. Other premium interior features include a panoramic sunroof, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, and a powered tailgate.
As we speak, the 2026 Toyota bZ4X can now be ordered at the following dealers: Toyota Alabang, Toyota Commonwealth, Toyota Global City, Toyota Mabolo Cebu, Toyota Makati, Toyota Manila Bay, Toyota Mandaue South, Toyota North EDSA, Toyota Pasig, Toyota Quezon Avenue, Toyota San Fernando, and Toyota Santa Rosa. Every purchase of the bZ4X comes with a Level 2 AC home charger and a portable AC charger for free.
