SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp., the official importer and distributor of BMW in the Philippines, introduces the new 2026 BMW 750e xDrive plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). This complements the 7 Series lineup by offering a third powertrain option, from the purely gas-powered 735i, the fully-electric i7 xDrive60, and now, the new 750e xDrive.
The BMW 750e xDrive PHEV also marks the brand’s fourth plug-in hybrid model in the Philippines, joining the electrified lineup alongside the BMW XM, BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport, and BMW X3 30e xDrive M Sport—further strengthening BMW’s commitment to expanding its portfolio of plug-in hybrid models in the country.
Of course, the main highlight of the 2026 BMW 750e xDrive is its 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six codenamed B58. This now-legendary straight-six engine is paired with a highly responsive electric motor that together deliver an impressive 489 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. This combination provides a powerful yet effortless drive, propelling the sedan from 0 to 100 kph in just 4.8 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 250 kph. Power is transmitted through an eight-speed automatic.
When cruising in pure electric mode, the 750e xDrive can travel on battery power for 86 kilometers based on WLTP tests. The combined total range, utilizing both the electric motor and the combustion engine, is up to approximately 750 km.
Design-wise, not much separates the 2026 BMW 750e xDrive from the other 7 Series models. Up front, you still have a large “Iconic Glow” illuminated kidney grille, and these are flanked by adaptive LED headlights. Your only clue that this is the plug-in hybrid version is its 20-inch Bicolor light alloy wheels, which also add a dynamic and elegant touch to its side profile.
Inside, the 2026 BMW 750e xDrive’s design is likewise similar to the other variants. Though in this case, the 750e xDrive’s interior is upholstered in Veganza upholstery complemented by brown open-pored wood trim. The dash is dominated by BMW’s latest iDrive 8.5 infotaiment, and this comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, together with a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system. BMW ConnectedDrive is also fitted to this vehicle for telematics and remote app vehicle controls. There’s also four-zone automatic climate control, sun blinds for the rear occupants, a single glass panoramic sunroof, and power-adjustable seats for the rear occupants.
The 2026 BMW 750e xDrive is now available in the Philippines with a retail price of P7,990,000.00.
