The facelifted Nissan Z has been revealed at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon, featuring enhanced looks and suspension, and a lovely new green paint.

Nissan has taken to the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon to reveal a mid-cycle facelift for the Z sports car. The facelifted Nissan Z receives minor design enhancements, along with improved suspension.

First up, let’s talk about the revised front bumper. It now features slightly reshaped panels, giving it a canard-like front chin, along with a revised front grille. This also lengthens the front section by 30 mm. Like the Nissan Z Nismo’s front bumper with a canard-like chin, the standard Z’s new front bumper lowers the front lift by 3.3 percent, meaning there’s improved front-wheel traction, while aerodynamic drag has been reduced by a modest one percent.

Apart from the enhanced front end, the facelifted Nissan Z also gets a new green shade called Unryu Green, which looks lovely, along with black 19-inch wheels with a silver outer rim. In our opinion, these changes somehow also make the Z look a bit more elegant whilst still retaining its sporty looks. Also enhancing its more elegant appeal is its available tan interior, though the overall design remains largely the same.

The 3.0-liter twin-turbo VR30DDTT V6 engine also remains unchanged, still producing 400 horsepower and 475 Nm of torque. There’s still a choice of a six-speed manual or a nine-speed automatic. What’s new, however, are the monotube shock absorbers. The pistons are incrementally larger by 5 mm, which enhances how the Z corners, whilst also improving the everyday comfort of the iconic sports car.

The facelifted Nissan Z, however, has not yet been physically displayed at the show. Instead, it was only revealed through their press photos and their keynote speech at the ongoing 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon. The debut of the newly-facelifted Z coincides with the global debut of the Z Nismo with a six-speed manual–a transmission option that enthusiasts have been wishing Nissan to finally include in the Z Nismo.
