As promised by SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp., the official distributor of BMW in the Philippines, when it announced its full-year 2025 sales, the company has finally brought in the X1 plug-in hybrid. Offered as standard in fully-loaded M Sport form, the 2026 BMW X1 plug-in hybrid is the latest addition to the German luxury automaker’s growing electrified portfolio.
The main highlight of the 2026 BMW X1 plug-in hybrid is its powerful plug-in hybrid system. Designated as the xDrive25e, it combines a 1.5-liter turbo three-cylinder and an electric motor arranged in a parallel configuration. This results in a total system output is 245 horsepower and 477 Nm of torque, which is good for a punchy 0-100 kph time of just 6.8 seconds. In terms of the electric range, the X1 plug-in hybrid has a pure electric range of 101 kilometers, while its total range in hybrid mode is 764 kilometers.
Now, since the 2026 BMW X1 plug-in hybrid comes in a fully-loaded M Sport version, the compact luxury SUV comes with a sportier exterior through the M Aerodynamics package. There’s also the high-gloss Shadowline trim surrounding the windows, along with unique 18-inch wheels.
Moving inside the X1 plug-in hybrid, two sets of screens dominate the dash, and this is powered by the familiar iDrive 9 operating system. There’s also a Harman Kardon premium sound system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with the BMW ConnectedDrive telematics system. Aesthetically, the interior’s sporty character is emphasized by the M Alcantara/Veganza upholstery and the front sports seats.
The 2026 BMW X1 plug-in hybrid is now in the Philippines in initially limited quantities, each priced at P3,998,000. The X1 plug-in hybrid is available in six striking colors, which include Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Space Silver Metallic, M Portimão Blue Metallic, Cape York Green Metallic, and Fire Red Metallic.
