The 2026 Toyota RAV4’s arrival in the Philippines is less than a month away, and an eager Toyota dealer is more than excited to reveal the prices of this soon-to-be hot commodity. That’s because the 2026 Toyota RAV4, which is going all-hybrid and with all-wheel drive (AWD) as standard, will be sold extremely competitively.
Just how competitive? According to Toyota Makati, the RAV4 will start at P2,183,000 for the ADV, while the range-topping LTD will retail for P2,499,000. This means that the RAV4 undercuts the newly-updated CR-V and the new Forester Hybrid by a wide margin, since for the RAV4 ADV’s price, you can only get a non-hybrid CR-V V Turbo HuNT. Competition in the compact crossover SUV is about to get fierce.
As previously revealed through Department of Energy (DOE) documents, the new RAV4 is going to be sold in rugged ADV and luxurious LTD forms. The ADV is based on the RAV4 Adventure theme, with its boxier design elements, 18-inch wheels with chunkier tires, and a slightly more hard-wearing interior. The LTD, on the other hand, is the more luxurious version of the RAV4, featuring a mesh-type frameless grille, 20-inch wheels, and an interior filled with plush materials.
One of the highlights of the new RAV4 is its standard tech features, as all variants now come with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, along with either a 10.5-inch or 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment. These screens are powered by Toyota’s new Arene OS, which is their closest step to creating software-defined vehicles (SDVs), one that can receive new features throughout its lifetime via over-the-air (OTA) software updates.
Of course, worth noting is its fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS V), wherein the familiar 2.5-liter Dynamic Force naturally-aspirated four-cylinder works in tandem with stronger electric motors, a smarter power control unit, and a more energy-dense lithium-ion battery. As a result, power increases to an impressive 236 horsepower, since we’re getting AWD as standard.
With the new 2026 Toyota RAV4 right around the corner, you might want to wait a bit before getting your next Japanese hybrid crossover, as competition in the compact crossover SUV segment is going to be fierce this year.
