Chevrolet Philippines Adds A New Malibu Variant

At last year’s Chevrolet Motorama, which was held at the SM Mall Of Asia, The Covenant Car Company Inc. (TCCCI) launched their Malibu midsize sedan. In a bid to appeal to an even wider audience, Chevrolet has introduced a new, more affordable  LT variant.

The Chevrolet Malibu LT is priced at P1,398,888, while the LTZ’s price has been adjusted, now costing P1,528,888, from P1,498,888. It is still powered by the same 2.4 liter petrol engine that produces 165 hp and 225 Nm of torque. The bigger news is in the equipment. Projector-type halogen headlights replace the HID headlamps, the Dual Tailpipes are now flushed into the body, and the 17 inch alloy wheels replace the 18 inch alloy wheels. The parking sensors and the rear view camera have also been ditched. The leather steering wheel has also been swapped for urethane ones. Apart from these, the Malibu is still business as usual.

If you are cross shopping between a Toyota Camry and a Honda Accord, the Chevrolet Malibu is worth a look.
