SMC Asia Car Distributors Corporation, the exclusive distributor of BMW in the Philippines, launched the all-new BMW X3 at Bonifacio Global City, continuing the success story of one of BMW’s most popular SAVs (Sports Activity Vehicle).
The BMW X3 combines off-road looks with a sporting presence. The X3’s “three-dmensional” kidney grille and gfoglamps feature a hexagonal design, which is a first for a BMW X model. The rear now features larger “three-dimensional” LED tail lights, a rear spoiler, and twin exhaust pipes for a more dynamic presence. Dimensions are almost unchanged, by it has a 5 cm longer wheelbase, which means it has shorter front and rear overhangs. Combined with the long hood, the BMW X3’s dimensions emphasizes that car’s perfect 50/50 weight distribution, a BMW hallmark. Combined with the new X3’s 55 kg lower weight than its predecessor, the BMW X3 is more agile and more fuel efficient than ever before.
There are two model lines to choose from. The xLine model focuses on pureness and elegance, and it is fitted with Vernasca leather interior with sport seats. It also comes with black high gloss interior trimmings with highlights in Pearl Chrome. The M Sport model, meanwhile, highlights the sporting character of the BMW X3. Apart from a more aggressive exterior design, the X3 M Sport also comes with an M Sport leather steering wheel, sports seats, anthracite-coloured BMW Individual headliner, and Aluminum Rhombicle interior trimmings.
The BMW X3 is powered by a 2.0 liter TwinPower Turbo diesel engine, producing 190 hp and 400 Nm of torque, mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, with power sent through all four wheels via an xDrive AWD system.
Making life easier are comfort enhancing standard features that include the latest BMW iDrive with Navigation System Professional that includes functions such as a touch screen and gesture control. These features were once only available in the BMW 5 Series and the flagship 7 Series. Also included is the intelligent Parking Assistant, which automatically parks the car in parallel and lateral parking spaces.
The BMW X3 xDrive20d xLine starts at P4,390,000, while the X3 xDrive20d M Sport is priced at P4,590,000.
