PGA Cars Inc., the exclusive distributor of Porsche in the Philippines unveiled the all-new Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo, which is available in two flavors. The Panamera 4 and Panamera Turbo.
The Panamera Sport Turismo is the wagon or “shooting brake” version of the Panamera sports sedan. With its more upright roofline, the Panamera Sport Turismo looks sharp and sporty, yet practical, still carrying the Porsche design DNA in a more practical, perhaps even better looking package than its sedan counterpart. Separating the Panamera 4 and Panamera Turbo are the Turbo’s 20-inch wheels (19s on the base Panamera 4 model), and the Turbo’s more aggressive body design.
The overall interior design is unchanged from the sedan version, but there are numerous changes to take note of. For starters, the seating layout is designed for 4+1 accommodation, whereas the sedan was a strict four seater. With its higher roofline than the sedan version, it now only has more headroom, but also a larger trunk capacity.
Under the hood of the two Panamera Sport Turismos are either a turbocharged 3.0 liter V6 in the Panamera 4 variant, or a 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 in the Panamera Turbo variant. The turbo V6 produces 330 hp and 450 Nm of torque, which is good for a 0-100 kph run of 5.7 seconds, all the way to a top speed of 264 kph. The top dog twin-turbo V8, meanwhile, produces an astonishing 550 hp and 770 Nm of torque, enough for a sprint from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.8 seconds, all the way to a top speed of 304 kph. Power is sent through a four wheel drive system via an 8-speed PDK dual clutch transmission.
The Panamera is equipped with some cool features as standard, which includes adaptive air suspension, padded doorway linings to avoid snagging your clothes, and Porsche Active Aerodynamics, which is highlighted by the top rear mounted retractable spoiler. The Panamera Turbo, meanwhile, has the added bonus of Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Change Assist, soft close doors, and rear axle steering to further improve the Panamera Sport Turismo’s already impressive handling.
The Porsche Pamera 4 Sport Turismo starts at P10,950,000, while the Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo starts at P18,500,000.
