Suzuki has revealed at the ongoing Indonesia International Motor Show the all-new Suzuki Ertiga. This all-new model builds on the success of the brand’s best selling MPV. This new MOV will definitely arrive in Philippine soil soon.
The new Ertiga utilizes Suzuki’s all-new HEARTECT platform, which is shared with the brand’s all-new such as the Swift, Dzire, and Baleno. Through the new platform, the Ertiga promises to be stiffer, safer, and more pleasurable to drive than ever before.
Exterior-wise, Suzuki’s designers have created an MPV with more distinct looks than its predecessor. A new hexagonal grille give the car a more dynamic presence. The grille is flanked by a pair of projector-type halogen headlights, while the creased hood adds character to the car’s front fascia. The rear, meanwhile, receives a pair of LED tail lights, while the Ertiga’s more raked rear windshield give the Ertiga a more dynamic silhouette.
Likewise, the interior receives many changes, which starts with the dashboard design. Suzuki’s designers worked hard to give the Ertiga a more premium ambience through the use of faux wood trims, a flat bottomed steering wheel, and a floating touch screen infotainment system on higher end models.
Underneath the Ertiga is a new 1.5 liter inline-4 petrol engine called the K15B. It produces 104 hp and 138 Nm of torque, with power sent through the front wheels via a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.
No word has been given yet as to when the Suzuki Ertiga will arrive in the Philippines.
