In celebration of Toyota Motor Philippines’ 30 years of giving Filipinos the renowned quality, durability, and aftersales service that the brand is known for, Toyota has decided to throw a music festival as a way of saying thank you to its loyal customers.
Called the Toyota Music Fest, this one-of-a-kind event will feature some of the country’s top musical bands, ranging from Ely Buendia, Parokya Ni Edgar, Hale, Silent Sanctuary, IV Of Spades, The Ransom Collective, and more. The best part of all this? The epic musical fest will all be for FREE! Yes, you read that right! Jam with all your favorite bands for free this July 28, 2018. This event is also going to be the public debut for the comprehensively refreshed Toyota Vios, one of the country’s best-selling cars.
To those who want to avail of the free concert, pre-registration will start on July 10, 2018 at Toyota Motor Philippines’ website.
Also, on the following day at roughly the same area in Filinvest, Alabang, Toyota will hold its second round of the Toyota Vios Cup. See Sam Milby, Chie Filomeno, Diego Loyzaga, Fabio Ide, Sofia Andres, and Troy Montero put the pedal to the metal in the streets of Filinvest with their mighty and capable Toyota Vios cup cars. Like the music festival, the admission is completely FREE, with gates opening as early as 9 am!
First launched in Thailand back in August 2017, the refreshed Vios, which is called the Yaris Ativ in Thailand, features a comprehensive refresh that now bears the same face as the refreshed Toyota Yaris. The rear fascia, meanwhile, also gets a completely new look, with more swoopy tail lights and smart design cues.
Inside, the Vios also shares the same interior as the refreshed Toyota Yaris. Expect engines to be similar to the Yaris, too. It’ll most likely retain the same 1.3 liter and 1.5 liter Dual VVT-i engines, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT. The 1.3 liter produces 99 Ps and 123 Nm, while the 1.5 produces 108 Ps and 140 Nm of torque.
