Hyundai Tops International Quality Awards By J.D. Power and AutoPacific

Hyundai's improved quality across the board has paid dividends to the brand's quality performance.

Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), welcomes the release of two recent international surveys that shows the brand’s commitment to vehicle quality.

The 2018 edition of the prestigious Initial Quality Study by J.D. Power has Hyundai placing thrid, while its luxury brand Genesis bagged second place. This represents a big jump from Hyundai’s eighth-place ranking in 2017. The Hyundai Tucson also received recognition from J.D. Power as the best performing among Hyundai vehicles in the survey. The annual survey measures the number of mechanical problems and issues that new vehicle owners experience during the first 90 days of ownership.

Hyundai has also been named the Most Satisfying Popular Brand in AutoPacific’s 2018 Vehicle Satisfaction Awards. Hyundai ranked first in this survey of 58,000 new vehicle owners covering 40 criteria. Notably, the Elantra took the top spot in the compact car category.

This recognition comes hot on the heels of HARI’s blockbuster first quarter of 2018, when the brand received awards for excellence in Commercial Vehicles, Passenger Car sales, and Customer Satisfaction in After Sales.
