Good things come to those who wait, and that couldn’t ever be true now as Volkswagen Philippines has announced that the Santana with an automatic transmission, Santana GTS wagon, and Lamando executive sedan can now be ordered starting today. These three cars are slated for a November arrival if you order one today.
Indeed, many Filipinos nowadays choose an automatic transmission due to the intense traffic in Manila. Those looking for convenience and waited for an automatic variant to be released have indeed be rewarded today. Own a subcompact German sedan from P898,000 for the Trendline and P998,000 for the Comfortline, which represents the mid and top tier variants of the Santana line-up, respectively. Both cars are powered by a 1.5-liter inline-4 MPI petrol engine with BlueMotion technology, developing 110 hp and 150 Nm of torque. Power is sent through a 6-speed automatic transmission. Color choices include Deep Black, Polar White, and Reflex Silver.
A new variant of the Santana family has also been made available for reservations starting today. The Volkswagen Santana GTS wagon utilizes the same engine and transmission from the Santana sedan, but with the added benefit and practicality of a wagon body style. As an added bonus, the Santana GTS gets the benefit of features that include electronic stability program, sunroof, cruise control, and rear parking sensors. The entry point for owning this practical wagon is at P998,000 for the sole Comfortline variant. Color choices include Polar White, Toffee Brown, and Red Rock Metallic.
Lastly, the Lamando executive sedan is also now available for reservations. With a price of P1,569,000 for the Comfortline variant and P1,703,000 for the Highline variant, the Volkswagen Lamando is priced within the more affordable pricing range of the executive sedan segment. Both variants have a 280 TSI designation. As such, it is powered by a 1.4-liter TSI turbocharged petrol engine producing 150 hp and a strong 250 Nm of torque. Power is sent through a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission. Being on the higher end of the Volkswagen line-up, the Lamando is equipped with features that include automatic HID headlights with LED daytime running lights, 7-inch touch screen infotainment system, passive entry with push button start, just to name a few. Available color choices include Mangangrey, Polar White, Coriandolo (Comfortline only), Dark Bronze (Comfortline only), and Misano Red (Highline only).
And just like the first three models launched in May, these three new ones will have comprehensive warranty coverages. Aside from the three years or 100,000-km general warranty, whichever comes first, Volkswagen Philippines also offers a 3-year warranty for paint and another 3-year warranty for through-corrosion of the main steel body structure. Meanwhile, the periodic maintenance service (PMS) interval schedule for these new models is also structured for its owners’ convenience. The PMS interval is once a year, or every 10,000 kms, whichever comes first.
