2018 PIMS: BAIC M60 Is An MPV With The Rugged Styling Of An SUV

The BAIC M60 provides turbocharged power and upmarket features at an affordable price.

Hot on the heels of its BJ20 SUV and M50S MPV launch, BAIC Philippines has chosen the 2018 Philippine International Motor Show as the venue to reveal its latest offering, the M60.

The M60 sits at the higher end of its MPV line-up. As such, the M60 features numerous premium styling details, ranging from a large front grille, projector headlamps, and black alloy wheels. These are then finished off by some black plastic cladding that give it a rugged look. At the back, wrap around tail lights and a rear diffuser give the M60 a sporty look.

Inside, the M60 features a leather interior with a black and white color scheme. Front and center of the dashboard is a floating touch screen infotainment system. Other premium appointments in the interior include second row captains chairs, automatic climate control, push button start, and steering wheel controls. There’s also a reverse camera to make backing out of parking spots easier.

Powering the BAIC M60 is a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 150 hp and a strong 210 Nm of torque. Interestingly, power is sent through the rear wheels via a CVT.

Pricing for the BAIC M60 starts at P998,000.
