The all-new Nissan Almera, also called as the Nissan Versa in the United States, has just been unveiled, now sporting a sportier, more stylish exterior than the model it replaces, as well as a more premium interior, better technology, and more exciting driving experience.
The outside is completely different from its predecessor, sporting a bold, sporty look with its large V-Motion front grille, slim LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, as well as a sleek side profile. A character line runs from the front all the way to the LED tail lights, while a blacked-out C-pillar creates a floating roof design. The roof has also been lowered to give the Nissan Almera a sleeker look.
A more premium interior greets its occupants. The “Gliding Wing” dashboard features padded soft surfaces with stitching details that truly uplift the interior vibe. Drivers are greeted by an instrument cluster with partial digital instrumentation on the left. Front and center is a 7-inch Nissan Connect infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality.
Under the hood of the US-market Nissan Versa is a 1.6-literĀ inline-4 petrol engine that produces 122 hp and 154 Nm of torque. This is mated to a 5-speed manual or a CVT driving the front wheels.
Like many modern cars nowadays, the Nissan Almera, or ratherĀ the US-market Versa will feature Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Intelligent Driver Alertness and Intelligent Cruise Control as optional safety features. This is already on top on standard safety features such as Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking, Lane Departure Warning and High Beam Assist.
