Refreshed Honda BR-V Has Sharper Looks, More Features, And A P1.035M Starting Price

The refreshed BR-V has more features with just a minimal price increase.

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. has unveiled the refreshed BR-V, carrying with it more style and features with a minimal price increase. The first and original subcompact 7-seater SUV continues to be made in the Philippines and is now on sale across all of Honda’s 38 dealerships nationwide starting today.

Honda’s designers and engineers focused on the BR-V’s SUV character and then building on the strengths that made the BR-V a hit for consumers. The exterior receives a new chrome grille, revised front and rear bumpers, faux side vents at the front and rear, roof rails, as well as new alloy wheel designs for the entire line-up. Meanwhile, the top trim V CVT variant gets power folding mirrors, LED daytime running lights, passive entry with push-button start, as well as faux satin skid plates.

Likewise, the interior has also been revised, now featuring dark steel interior trims which replace the bright silver ones. As standard, all variants have digital AC controls, steering with audio controls, and a 7-inch infotainment system. For the top-trim V CVT variant, the 7-inch touch screen infotainment system is an upgraded unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The top-trim V CVT variant also adds leather seats with red accents on the steering wheel, door armrests, and shift knob, as well as paddle shifters.

All variants also get an increase in standard safety tech, such as a rear camera, ABS with EBD, dual SRS airbags, hill start assist, electronic stability control, and speed sensing door locks. We commend Honda for adding electronic stability control as standard on all variants of the BR-V.

Under the hood of the BR-V is still the same 1.5-liter inline-4 i-VTEC petrol engine, producing 120 hp and 145 Nm of torque, which is mated to a revised Earth Dreams CVT powering the front wheels.

With all these new features as well as sharper looks with just a minimal price increase, Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. seeks to continue its momentum for the rest of 2019 with its new line of affordable vehicles.
