The highly anticipated Mazda 3 is nearing its arrival. After its preview last April, the order books for the Mazda 3 are now officially open, at least for Mazda Makati as far as we know.
This also coincides with the launch of the all-new Mazda 3 microsite at Mazda Philippines’ website, which means that the car’s arrival is very near, perhaps by this month.
We predict that Mazda will continue to offer the Mazda 3 in two engine choices, the 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G petrol engines. The revolutionary Skyactiv-X SPCCI petrol engine will not be sold in the Philippine market, at least for the time being.
Along with it are two body styles, the sedan and the hatchback which is marketed as the Mazda 3 Sportback. We also predict that two variants of each body style will be sold, bringing it into a total of four variants.
As of now, Mazda has not unveiled pricing nor full specifications, though we have been privileged to be able to see the Mazda 3 up close and personal once again during the Master Class workshop by Mazda and Fujifilm. The Mazda 3s on display has a plush leather interior, Mazda Connect infotainment system, head-up display, Bose sound system, as well as electronic adjustment for the driver’s seat. Do note that the units on display do not reflect the final Philippine specifications, so there may be features that won’t make it to the final production car.
If you are one of the interested bunch and can’t wait anymore for what is probably one of this year’s most highly anticipated sedans, then head on to a Mazda dealer near you to reserve yours. To be one of the first to know the complete specifications of the Mazda 3, keep yourselves posted in Go Flat Out, or visit the Mazda 3 microsite.
