The New Maxus G10 Assist Gives Elderly And PWDs Easier Vehicle Access

Maxus Philippines gives the elderly and PWDs an easier way to travel with the family.

Maxus Philippines formally launches the G10 Assist at the Blue Leaf Events Pavilion in Taguig, a version of the brand’s flagship model in its local line-up that’s able to provide easier access for the elderly and PWDs.

From the outside, the Maxus G10 Assist looks the same as any other G10 out there. It has a sleek and modern exterior design with a chrome grille, projector halogen headlights, as well as an elegant side profile. Being the brand’s flagship model in the Philippines, the G10 offers unparalleled levels of comfort and space at its price point. Its spacious interior can seat nine people, four of which benefit from rear captain seats, while those at the front are able to enjoy the electronically adjustable driver and front passenger seats. The third row, meanwhile, features a bench layout for three people. There’s also a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 6 speakers system, a 220-volt power supply, and an automatic climate control system.

What truly sets apart the G10 Assist from its stablemates is the addition of the new programmable swivel lifting seat. To make the lives of the elderly and PWDs easier, the seat’s operation was designed to be as simple as possible to use via remote control or even through a smartphone via an iOS app. It has a position memory function, path recover function, path obstacle sensor, door interlock, low-power detection and warning, mechanical manual function and anti-tip protection.

In terms of safety, the G10 has been designed to meet global safety standards with its integrated body structure, front and side airbags for the driver and front passenger, 3-point seatbelts on all seats, and ISOFIX child seat anchor points. For more driver convenience, the G10 has front and rear parking sensors, as well as a rear view camera.

Powering the Maxus G10 is a Euro 4 compliant 1.9-liter inline-4 turbo diesel CRDI engine, producing 150 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Maxus G10 is offered at a special price of P1,680,000. Opting for the G10’s Assist package, which is a dealer-installed option, is available at an additional cost of P399,800. Every Maxus G10 has a preventive maintenance interval of the first 5,000 kilometers and then every succeeding 10,000 kilometers, or once a year, whichever comes first. It also has a vehicle warranty of 3 years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. As a bonus, one is entitled to 24/7 emergency roadside assistance, a pick-up and delivery service, as well as on-site servicing for corporate fleet accounts.
