All-New Isuzu D-Max Shows Its Face Ahead Of October 11 Debut

The all-new D-Max is redesigned from the ground up.

The all-new Isuzu D-Max will be unveiled on October 11, 2019, and Isuzu has dropped a teaser video to give everyone a glimpse of its latest pick-up.

No details have been given so far, so all the details we’ll be saying are based on purely what the teaser showed. The all-new D-Max features an bigger grille that’s flanked by slimmer projector headlights with LED daytime running lights.

Isuzu has also revealed part of the taillights, which has two square LEDs to give it a striking look at night.

Going to the interior, the D-Max gets a completely redesigned dashboard, featuring what seems to be a stitched dashboard. Making its brief appearance is the confirmation that the D-Max comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Other places in the interior see an upgrade too. The gear lever has an all-new design, now with a leather shift boot and gloss black trim on the gear lever itself. Gone is the large circulate AC controls, replaced by a more premium-looking climate control system. It must be said that the new D-Max will be a collaboration project with Mazda. Yes, you heard that right. Mazda and Isuzu have forged a partnership to build the all-new D-Max, which will also serve as the basis for the next BT-50. It must be said that while the two pick-ups will share parts, the design will be more than just swapping out each other’s badges.

Given that Mazda produces the most premium interiors in its class, we do hope that Mazda has placed a lot of influence into the D-Max’s interior.

Powertrain details have also not been revealed. We speculate however that Isuzu will continue with its 1.9-liter and 3.0-liter BluePower turbo diesel engines, especially since these engines are relatively new.

Stay tuned to Go Flat Out on October 11 as we keep you updated on the latest developments about the all-new Isuzu D-Max.
