Honda’s Rallye Red has been the Civic RS Turbo’s defining paint scheme. However, it must be said that good things can come to an end, as Honda is replacing the Civic RS Turbo’s Rallye Red with a new, more premium shade of Ignite Red Metallic. This deep red color will now be the distinguishing paint offering for the Civic RS Turbo from this model year onwards.
To those keeping tabs on Honda’s color pallette, Ignite Red Metallic made its debut in the all-new, turbocharged 2020 Honda City. Is this new color a sign that the turbocharged City is coming soon to the Philippine market? We certainly hope so!
So far, the new shade of red is the only addition to the 2020 Honda Civic line-up. Under the hood of the Civic RS Turbo is still the same turbocharged and direct-injected 1.5-liter inline-4 VTEC Turbo petrol engine that produces 172 hp and 220 Nm of torque, with power still being sent to the front wheels via a CVT.
It’s also the same story inside, as the Civic RS Turbo retains its leather seats, power-adjustable driver’s seat, 7-inch touch screen Display Audio infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control system, among other features.
The 2020 Honda Civic RS Turbo still retails for P1,608,000 and is now available across all of Honda’s 38 dealerships nationwide. For those who want anything else but red, Platinum White Pearl (+P20,000), Cosmic Blue Metallic, and Modern Steel Metallic are still available in the 2020 Civic RS Turbo.
