Facelifted 2021 BMW 5 Series Revealed In Leaked Photos

Leaked photos of the facelifted 2021 BMW 5 Series have emerged over the internet. Do you like the new looks of the 5 Series?

Official photos of the refreshed BMW 5 Series have just been leaked online prior to its official release date. The photos come from BMW Blog, and it shows that the brand’s popular midsize luxury sports sedan sports a sharper, more modern face than its predecessor. For the sake of comparison, we are placing the photo of the facelifted 5 Series on top of the outgoing 5 Series.

Keeping it in line with the brand’s current design language, the facelifted 5 Series features a conjoined kidney grille, which is similar to what the BMW 3 Series has. Also similar to the 3 Series are its sleeker LED headlights and front bumper design, which gives the 5 Series a sportier character.

At the back, the 5 Series gains new L-shaped LED taillights which are now darkened just like in the smaller 3 Series. The rear bumper looks more chiseled, too, also giving it a sportier look from the rear.

So far, the exterior changes are quite significant, at least by how BMW traditionally gives its vehicles a facelift. No interior shots have been leaked yet, but we suspect that the interior will remain relatively the same. Of course, we expect that a few new features and improve material choices will be added.

In its current guise, the BMW 5 Series is offered with a plethora of petrol and diesel engines, with the M550i xDrive and M550d xDrive being the top tier engine choices before the high-performance M5 sports sedan.
