This Miniature Rolls-Royce Cullinan Probably Costs More Than Your Own Car

With a price of about US$17,100, this miniature Rolls-Royce Cullinan is more expensive than most new small cars sold in the Philippines.

Sir Henry Royce, one of the founders of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars once said, “Small things make perfection, but perfection is no small thing.” That motto pretty much applies to its latest creation–a miniature Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

Rolls-Royce says that this 1:8 scale model of the Cullinan, in which “every detail is reproduced with absolute perfection,” costs US$17,100 or around PHP867,764. Yes, that’s right. This scale model that’s only meant for display in your lavish home costs as much as the mid-spec variants of the Toyota Vios, Honda City, Suzuki Ertiga.

Why buy this miniature Rolls-Royce Cullinan instead of a real car? Well, Rolls-Royce says that this Cullinan is “far more than a mere model.” Each miniature Cullinan is individually and painstakingly crafted by hand to the client’s specification from over 1,000 individual components. This process can take up to 450 hours–over half of the time required to build a full-sized Cullinan.

The replica is hand-painted using Rolls-Royce color-matched paint and then hand-polished to meet the quality of the real Cullinan. The brand’s signature coachline is even applied using a fine brush–just as it is on the original. Clients may choose from a palette of around 40,000 ‘standard’ colors, or replicate their own personal Bespoke finish.

It’s not just a static replica of the Cullinan, though. Its LED exterior lights are fully functional, which are operated by a Cullinan-branded remote control. Upon opening the coach doors, you will also see its illuminated scuff plates–just like the real thing. And then under the hood of this miniature Cullinan is a perfect replica of the brand’s iconic 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 engine found in all of its models in various states of tune.

Because of Rolls-Royce’s pursuit of absolute perfection, the interior of this miniature Cullinan is just as lavishly appointed as the real one. Customers can even spec the Cullinan replica in the same way they would when buying the real thing. From the headrest embroidery and wood finishes to the seat piping and stitching, this 1:8 replica can be ordered according to the exact specifications of your real Cullinan.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, commented, “This scale replica brings a new dimension to Cullinan’s Effortless, Everywhere philosophy. Our super-luxury SUV is now as perfectly at ease in the serene surroundings of its owner’s residence as it is in the most challenging and hostile terrain on Earth.” He continued, “It demonstrates, and reminds us as a company, that Inspiring Greatness applies at every scale. It is not just about the big things: we seek and achieve greatness in everything we do, down to the smallest item and minutest detail.”

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Manila, which is part of the Autohub Group, launched the Cullinan in the Philippine market in 2019. The Rolls-Royce Cullinan that was displayed during the launch is pegged at around P53 million. As always, when it comes to customizing a Rolls-Royce, only your imagination is your limit.
