The 2020 Jeep Renegade Currently Costs Less Than A Honda HR-V RS

Jeep Philippines has recently unveiled the Renegade subcompact crossover SUV and Compass compact crossover SUV. When these two SUVs were initially released last May, they were accompanied by a P50,000 discount. Until July but Jeep Philippines is increasing its discounts to as much as P160,000 to the entire 2020 Jeep Renegade and Compass lineup.

Costing P1,640,000 for the Longitude and P1,790,000 for the Limited, the 2020 Jeep Renegade is the most affordable Jeep to be ever sold in recent years. The P160,000 discount makes the Renegade even more affordable as their final prices now land at P1,490,000 for the Longitude and P1,630,000 for the top-trim Limited. In base Longitude form, the Jeep Renegade is even more affordable than the Honda HR-V RS, which sells for P1,508,000.

The Jeep Renegade manages to carry a distinct look, from its iconic 7-slotted bright surround grille, halogen headlamps with daytime running lights, and a striking pair of square LED taillights with an “X” design which Jeep says is inspired by Jerry Cans. The interior is also just as quirky as the exterior, featuring a rugged design, 7-inch UConnect infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Baidu CarLife. There’s also a large panoramic sunroof that bathes the interior with plenty of natural light.

Powering the Jeep Renegade is a 1.4-liter Tjet inline-4 turbocharged petrol engine that produces 147 hp and 230 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed dry dual-clutch transmission.

With the generous P160,000 discount in place, the 2020 Jeep Compass compact SUV is made even more affordable at P1,690,000. Jeep’s competitor to the Honda CR-V, Subaru Forester, and Mazda CX-5 features the iconic 7-slot grille that has become a hallmark of all Jeep models. There’s also a pair of halogen projector headlights with bulb-type daytime running lights. The rear is then highlighted by a pair of striking LED taillights and a chrome strip that also runs to the sides of the vehicle. Meanwhile, the interior features a 7-inch UConnect infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Baidu CarLife along with a large panoramic sunroof.

Under the hood of the Jeep Compass is a 1.4-liter MultiAir inline-4 turbocharged petrol engine that produces 162 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Power is sent through the front wheels via a 7-speed dry dual-clutch transmission.
