From the outside, the Arrizo 5e features a sedan body style with a sleek coupe-like roofline. It’s a clean-cut design, though it breaks away from the traditional radical motif seen in most EVs. Being an electric car, it is expected that the front end has no grille. Instead, it features a charge port that’s hidden under the Chery logo. LED daytime running lights are mounted at the lower portion of the front bumper, while the rear fascia features striking LED taillights.

Moving inside, and you’ll see a very luxurious and modern design. To evoke a premium ambiance, Chery says that 65 percent of the interior is trimmed in leather. There’s also a wireless charging pad, rotary gear selector, and passive entry with push-button start.

Powering the Chery Arrizo 5e is an electric motor that generates 120 kW (around 160 hp) and 250 Nm of torque. Zero to 50 kph happens in 3.8 seconds all the way to a top speed of 152 kph. What is impressive is the range. As mentioned, the Chery Arrizo 5e can travel for up to 401 kilometers in a full charge. As for charging, the 53.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack can go from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 30 minutes when using a rapid charger. Under conventional charging, the Arrizo 5e can be fully-charged in around seven to nine hours.

As for safety, the Chery Arrizo 5e is equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control, hill start assist, tire pressure monitoring, 360-degree camera system, and the use of 60% high-tensile strength steel to achieve five stars in the NCAP collision test.

Chery Auto Philippines says it does not immediately expect significant sales numbers for the Arrizo 5e but is positioning the car as a showcase of Chery’s advanced global technology. Sales will be via indent order at a price tag of around P1.9 million.
