The new Ford Ranger Raptor Special Edition has just been unveiled in Europe and will go on sale this October exclusively for European customers.
What makes this particular Ranger Raptor special? Well, the exterior features a number of twin matte black racing stripes with red highlights. The tow hooks are also painted in red, while the front and rear bumpers, mirrors, grille, wheel arches, and door handles are finished in matte black. For this special edition model, three colors are only available: Performance Blue, Conquer Grey, and Frozen White.
As for the interior, this special edition model is finished in high-grain leather with red stitching on the seats, steering, doors, and dash. In addition, the instrument panel is finished in a Special Edition-only Raceway Gray. Everything else is the same as the standard Ranger Raptor.
This special edition Ranger Raptor is powered by the same 2.0-liter inline-4 twin-turbo EcoBlue diesel engine as the standard Ranger Raptor, which means this engine still produces 210 hp and 500 Nm of torque, with power being sent to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.
“The new Ranger Raptor Special Edition adds even more dramatic style to our ‘bad-ass’ truck, with unique exterior touches and cabin enhancements that make our off-road performance pick-up even more distinctive and desirable,” said Stefan Muenzinger, manager, Ford Performance, Ford of Europe. “Starring in its own Spaghetti Western movie is the perfect way to demonstrate Ranger Raptor Special Edition’s style and off-road capability.”
