Ford Philippines has just unveiled the new Ranger Raptor X, a limited edition of the Ranger Raptor that mostly focuses on aesthetic upgrades that makes Ford’s off-road-focused pickup look even more menacing. The model was unveiled during the media brunch with Ford Philippines’ new president Michael Breen, where he also used the opportunity to announce that the Ranger Wildtrak 4×4 with the power roller shutter is now on sale as well.
The Ford Ranger Raptor X sets itself apart from the standard Raptor with its black stripes that are on the hood, tailgate, roof, and sides of the vehicle. In addition, there’s also a rear sports bar and also matte black finishes in the door handles, fender vents, and foglight housings. Red elements also now appear on the exterior, such as those aforementioned stripes and the red tow hooks. Lastly, the wheels are now finished in Asphalt Black matte finish.
As for the interior, red stitching details now adorn the dash, doors, steering, and new body-hugging sport seats. The rest of the interior remains unchanged, though.
Because this is mostly an aesthetic upgrade, the Ranger Raptor X is still powered by the same 2.0-liter inline-4 twin-turbo diesel engine that produces 210 hp and 500 Nm of torque, driving all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The Ford Ranger Raptor X will go on sale this July with an MSRP of P2,038,000. Only 200 units will be sold, so if you want to get your hands on one, be sure to reserve yours immediately.
Ford also used this opportunity to announce that the Ranger Wildtrak 4×4 with the power roller shutter is now on sale in the Philippines. The MSRP is still the same at P1,728,000.
