Small crossover SUVs are all the rage these days, and the 2021 Chevrolet Tracker is no exception. This subcompact SUV is aimed to revitalize the Chevrolet brand in the Philippines. The all-new Tracker is sold globally and produced in two countries: Brazil and China. In our case, the Philippine-market Chevrolet Tracker comes from the SAIC-General Motors plant in China. It will also replace the now outdated Trax small SUV.
There will be two variants on sale: LS and LT Redline. Nevertheless, both variants feature a bold grille that’s flanked by a sleek pair of LED headlights. Onto the sides, and you’ll see sleek body lines that give this small SUV a more dynamic appearance. The rear, on the other hand, looks quite similar to the Blazer midsize SUV being sold in the United States. There’s a pair of striking LED taillights that integrated neatly into the rear windows. The LT Redline, on the other hand, features a number of black exterior elements with red highlights such as the grille, mirrors, 17-inch wheels, and even the bowtie emblem.
Supposedly designed for the “internet generation”, the all-new Chevrolet Tracker comes with the brand’s 8-inch MyLink infotainment system with Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, which is offered as standard on all variants. As for the design itself, the base LS features a black and captain blue interior while the LT Redline gets an all-black interior with red stitching. Getting the LT Redline also adds smart entry with push-button start, panoramic sunroof, and automatic climate control.
Powering the 2021 Chevrolet Tracker is a 1.0-liter inline-3 turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 116 hp and 175 Nm of torque, driving the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.
As for safety, the all-new Tracker is equipped with four airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring, hill start assist, rear parking sensors, and a wide-angle 130-degree reverse camera.
The all-new Chevrolet Tracker is now on sale in the Philippines for P1,142,888 for the LS and P1,242,888 for the LT Redline variant. Until September 30, 2021, Chevrolet Philippines is offering a P30,000 discount on all variants.
