Coventry Motors Corporation, the distributor of Jaguar vehicles in the Philippines, has officially launched the refreshed 2021 Jaguar F-Pace alongside the refreshed XF. Just like the XF, the F-Pace features a mildly redesigned exterior along with a comprehensively updated interior design and tech.
Exterior changes for the 2021 Jaguar F-Pace include a newly designed front end, which features a new LED headlight design that features Jaguar’s new “Double J Blade” daytime running lights. There’s also a slightly larger grille and new front and rear bumpers. Moving towards the sides, and you’ll see that the side fender vents have been redesigned. At the back, there are a new pair of LED taillights with a sleeker design, along with a redesigned tailgate. Lastly, 18-inch alloy wheels are worn by this sole S D200 variant.
Moving inside, and you’ll see that the interior has been significantly updated. There’s a completely new dashboard design that houses a “floating” 11.4-inch touch screen. The giant screen is housed in a magnesium casing and it features Jaguar Land Rover’s latest Pivi Pro operating system. This works in conjunction with the 12.3-inch fully-digital instrument cluster. All of the electronics are powered by Jaguar Land Rover’s Electronic Vehicle Architecture, which is capable of over-the-air (OTA) updates.
Elsewhere, the new interior features significantly more premium materials and a much better build quality than its predecessor, while for added refinement, Active Noise Cancellation comes as standard, which lets the 12-speaker (+1 subwoofer) Meridian surround sound system emit opposite phase sound waves needed to remove the noise heard by the occupants. Cabin occupancy is monitored, with the system continuously optimizing performance to deliver the best possible experience for everyone.
Because this is the S D200 variant, it means that this model is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-4 turbo diesel engine. This also happens to be a 48-volt mild-hybrid powertrain. Combined system output is at 200 hp and 430 Nm of torque, while power is routed to a permanent AWD system via an 8-speed automatic. With this powertrain configuration, 0-100 kph is achieved in 8 seconds.
As for safety, the 2021 Jaguar F-Pace is equipped with a 3D and 360-degree camera, along with lane keeping assist, and torque vectoring by braking. This comes on top of the usual suite of airbags, hill start assist, stability and traction control, just to name a few.
The 2021 Jaguar F-Pace is now on sale for P5,590,000 for this sole S D200 variant.
