The are three variants in total: EL, VE, and VL N-Sport. Completely redesigned from the ground up, the Almera’s exterior design is sleek and sporty. Upfront, there’s Nissan’s V-Motion grille that’s flanked by slim headlights, which are in LEDs on all but the base EL variant. The side profile is also sleek with its steeply raked windshield and bold creases. The rear end is just as sharp, with LED taillights offered on all variants. The base EL also rides on 15-inch steel wheels, while the VE gets 15-inch alloy wheels. Lastly, the top trim VL N-Sport rides on a sporty set of 16-inch alloy wheels, and this variant also gets a unique set of sporty front and rear bumpers.

Inside, the all-new 2022 Nissan Almera looks significantly more modern and sporty than before. Turbo power comes as standard on all Nissan Almera variants. This is a 1.0-liter inline-3 turbo gasoline engine that produces 100 hp and a meaty 152 Nm of torque for the CVT variants and 160 Nm for the MT variant. While the horsepower figure isn’t class-leading, torque, on the other hand, is. This is what’s truly felt under most driving scenarios.

Safety is one of the standout aspects of the all-new 2022 Nissan Almera and it’s also what easily makes it the safest subcompact sedan on sale in the Philippines. 2 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and ISOFIX child seat anchor points all come as standard. Stepping up to the mid-level VE variants adds a number of first-in-class features such as a 360-degree Around View Monitor camera system and automatic emergency braking. Exclusive to the VL N-Sport is blind spot warning, and rear cross traffic alert.

The all-new 2022 Nissan Almera, with all of its class-leading features and standout turbo engine, comes at these extremely competitive prices.

EL MT: P728,000
VE MT: P938,000
VE CVT: P998,000
