Take A Look At The All-New 2022 Suzuki Celerio

Here's the all-new 2022 Suzuki Celerio, and it looks more stylish than ever. It also gains a completely new powertrain.

The all-new 2022 Suzuki has just been unveiled in India, and it gets a whole lot of upgrades in terms of powertrain, tech, design, and safety.

Superminis aren’t exactly known for their style, but Suzuki still did their best when redesigning the all-new Celerio. Suzuki calls it a 3D organic sculpted design, and this is characterized by more defined side character lines, a bolder grille, sculpted front and rear bumpers, and swept-back headlights. The rear end also looks more defined with its new tailgate and larger taillights.

Dimensionally, the all-new 2022 Suzuki Celerio is ever-so-slightly bigger than the model it replaces. It now measures 3,695 mm long (+95 m), 1,655 mm (+55 mm) wide, and 1,555 mm tall (+15 mm). For more interior room, the wheelbase has been stretched by 10 mm to 2,435 mm.

Just like the exterior, the interior has also been completely redesigned as well. The dashboard now features a more stylish design, while key features such as the gauges and touch screen have been modernized. Thanks to the larger wheelbase, legroom has been increased, while trunk space now stands at 313 liters.

Powering the 2022 Suzuki Celerio is a new K10C 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 66 hp and 89 Nm of torque. Weirdly enough, that’s a gain of 1 hp and a drop of 1 Nm, so you win some, and then you lose some. Nevertheless, this new engine benefits from Dualjet technology with dual fuel injectors, which offers better thermal efficiency. This means that more of the fuel is actually combusted into actual power rather than just being wasted as heat.

Combined with the new five-speed manual and first-ever five-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) that Suzuki markets as Auto Gear Shift, the all-new Celerio is claimed to be India’s most fuel-efficient car with a figure of 26.68 km/l.

As for safety, the all-new Suzuki Celerio comes with ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, two SRS airbags, speed-sensing door locks, and manual headlight levelling. Hill start assist is only equipped with the AMT variant.

The all-new 2022 Suzuki Celerio is now on sale in India. The Philippine-market Suzuki Celerio comes from Thailand, which means it might take a while before our market is able to receive the all-new Celerio.
