Two years after making its global debut, the facelifted Nissan Patrol full-size SUV is finally arriving in the Philippines. This has been confirmed as Nissan Philippines created a microsite and a social media teaser on its Facebook page for the upcoming 2022 Nissan Patrol.
Heavily refreshed in 2020, the Nissan Patrol gets a new front-end design that consists of the brand’s largest interpretation yet of its V-Motion grille. This is then flanked by a new pair of LED headlights with boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights. The side profile largely remains unchanged, though it gets a new set of 20-inch alloy wheels. At the back, there’s now a satin silver strip that runs through the car’s width. At both ends are a new pair of LED taillights that mimic the design of the headlights.
As for the interior, the design is now more reminiscent of the US-market Armada. This is due to the newly-designed center console, wherein the two-screen layout of the original 2020 facelift model has been swapped out for an easier-to-use floating touch screen. The central aircon vents and climate controls have also been redesigned to accommodate this new screen layout.
Powering the new Nissan Patrol will most likely be the same naturally aspirated 5.6-liter V8 gasoline engine as before, and it produces 428 hp and 560 Nm of torque. Power is sent through all four wheels via a 7-speed automatic.
Expect the 2022 Nissan Patrol to also be equipped with Nissan Intelligent Mobility, which is the brand’s suite of advanced driver aids. This includes automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, 360-degree camera system, just to name a few.
With this bit of news coming out, expect the new Nissan Patrol to debut in the Philippines soon, probably just before the year ends.
