For Just P879K, The Kaicene CX70 Is PH’s Most Affordable 7-Seater SUV

The Kaicene CX70 has made its debut in the Philippines, and it's the first vehicle with an automatic transmission from the brand.

Berjaya Auto Asia Incorporated (BAAI), the exclusive distributor of Kaicene commercial vehicles and parts in the country, introduces an all-new 7-seater SUV designed to empower its customers to move. Say hello to the Kaicene CX70, which, incidentally, is also the most affordable 7-seater SUV on the market today.

With that price tag in mind, the Kaicene CX70 offers so much value for the money. It’s basically priced less than even a Vios 1.3 E CVT. But what do you get for that amount of money for a 7-seater SUV? Upfront, you get halogen projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, front and rear foglights, power-folding side mirrors, and an SUV with a decent amount of style.

Interestingly, the CX70 has a rear-wheel drive (RWD) layout and a unibody construction. The rear axle also has coil springs and not even a torsion beam rear suspension unlike rivals such as the Honda BR-V, Toyota Rush, Suzuki XL7, among others.

With a total length of 4,705 mm, a width of 1,800 mm, and a height of 1,775 mm, the CX70 is also the longest, widest and tallest 7-seat SUV in its class. The space it affords with its 2,780 mm wheelbase and 3,810 liters of overall interior cargo space is easily the largest among its peers.

Speaking of its interior, the Kaicene CX70 is generously equipped with features such as LED-lit gauges, an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system with six speakers, tilt and telescopic adjustment for the steering, passive entry with push-button start, and a sunroof. Soft-touch surfaces adorn the dashboard, doors, and armrests, while chrome trimmings are placed on the shifter console and cup holder surrounds. The bronze finished embellishments on the dashboard likewise enhance the quality and ambiance of the interior.

Powering the Kaicene CX70 is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine that produces 150 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque, with power being sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed automatic manufactured by Aisin.

As for safety, the Kaicene CX70 comes with dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill start assist, reverse camera, and a curb camera located at the right wing mirror.

Interested? The Kaicene CX70 is now available on all Auto Asia dealers nationwide for P879,000, and this does not count the P40,000 introductory discount that’s being offered. A 3-year or 100,000-kilometer warranty is also being offered for customers’ peace of mind, while all parts and services will be accommodated by BAAI’s existing dealership network.
