This Special Edition Mazda MX-5 Is Unique To PH, Starts At P2.250M

Alongside the updated 2022 MX-5, Mazda Philippines also unveiled the MX-5 MCP 25th Anniversary Edition. This special edition model was developed by Mazda Motor Corporation themselves and it’s a celebration of the special relationship that the Miata Club of the Philippines (MCP) has had with the brand for the past 25 years.

The Mazda MX-5 MCP 25th Anniversary Edition’s production won’t be capped to a certain amount of units. Instead, interested customers can order starting on February 28, but MCP members can already order theirs starting today. The first deliveries will start in September 2022, with the final deliveries happening exactly a year later.

Setting the MX-5 MCP 25th Anniversary Edition is its special red stripe, bright-finished 17-inch alloy wheels instead of the standard MX-5’s black wheels, and Navy Blue soft top. The special edition model will only be available in Mazda’s newest Platinum Quartz paint.

As for its interior, the special edition MX-5 will come with black leather seats, a nine-speaker Bose sound system, auto-dimming rearview mirror, just to name a few. Other standard features include the Mazda Connect infotainment system and smart entry with push-button start. Plus all MX-5 MCP 25th Anniversary Edition models will come with a commemorative MCP coffee table book

Everything else with this special edition MX-5 is the same as the standard model, which means it gets the same 184-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and the new Kinematic Posture Control (KPC) handling upgrade for 2022.

The 2022 Mazda MX-5 MCP 25th Anniversary Edition will be sold for P2,250,000 and P2,300,000 for the manual and automatic variants, respectively.
