The 2022 Suzuki Swift hatchback has been quietly launched in the Philippine market. Now offered in just one variant, the Swift GL comes with revised looks and improved tech features compared to the previous model.
Starting from the outside, the new Swift comes with a revised grille that now consists of a studded mesh pattern. Actually, that’s pretty much it as far as exterior enhancements are concerned, because the wheels, LED taillights, and side profile remain largely unchanged.
Likewise, the interior revisions are very minor, and it’s only limited to a new 8-inch touch screen infotainment system with capacitive touch buttons on its side. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto also now come as standard. Other interior features include manual aircon, remote keyless entry, and red analog gauges.
The 2022 Suzuki Swift is still powered by the same 1.2-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine as the outgoing model, which means it produces 82 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to the front wheels via a CVT, your only transmission choice this time around.
“The Swift is one of our products designed to be an everyday companion and a sure standout on the road,” Mr. Keiichi Suzuki, Vice President and General Manager for Automobile shared. “As standards rise, so should the level of our products and services. We are excited to release this improved version of the lovable Swift.”
The 2022 Suzuki Swift is now available at all dealers nationwide for P844,000 for this sole GL CVT variant.
