Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation has updated the Strada lineup for the 2022 model range. For this year, the 2022 Mitsubishi Strada GLS gains a few revisions on its exterior as well as its interior tech to keep it competitive against newer, stiffer competition.
Immediately noticeable in the 2022 Mitsubishi Strada GLS is its revised dynamic shield fascia that now has a blackened radiator grille and front under garnish. A headlight garnish was also added which blends seamlessly with the LED daytime running lights. On the sides, the door mirror, step board, outer handles, and 18-inch alloy wheels were blacked out as well. This is then topped out by black trims at the rear gate handle and step bumper, with the 4WD variant benefitting from an additional sports bar. Lastly, the interior of the 2022 Mitsubishi Strada GLS comes with an increased amount of soft-touch and high-quality trims for a more luxurious feel.
Underneath this newly styled body is a 2.4-liter MIVEC turbo diesel engine that produces 181 hp and 430 Nm of torque. This is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic, as well as in 2WD or 4WD versions.
As for safety, the 2022 Mitsubishi Strada GLS comes with hill start assist, trailer stability assist, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control.
