2022 PIMS: Honda Cars PH Launches HR-V RS For P1.739M

The 2023 Honda HR-V RS is the answer to an HR-V that comes with sportier looks, more premium features, and better handling.

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) has officially launched the new 2023 Honda HR-V RS at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show, a new, sporty variant that answers the public’s demand for a sportier version of the brand’s popular subcompact crossover SUV.

Exterior-wise, the 2023 Honda HR-V RS features a front fascia that is finished with a sporty chrome front grille that’s surrounded by a black frame, and a grille-mounted RS Emblem with a red Amp Up logo on the lower bumper. These are complemented by a set of bigger 18-inch RS Design alloy wheels, and a first-time feature for the HR-V, LED sequential turn signals. This RS variant also gets smoked full-width LED taillights and various gloss black elements on the front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper.

Inside, the 2023 Honda HR-V RS gets sporty aluminum pedals, a leather shift knob, and leather seats with red stitching. Comfort and convenience are likewise upgraded with an 8-speaker sound system, one-touch up/down power windows for both the driver and passenger, 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and dual-zone climate control.

The HR-V comes solely with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine that produces 177 hp and 240 Nm of torque, and this drives the front wheels via a CVT. Exclusive to the HR-V RS is a dedicated Sport mode, along with a new variable gear ratio steering that improves steering feel for better handling.

As with the rest of the HR-V lineup, the new RS variant still comes with the full suite of Honda Sensing advanced driver-assistance tech. This includes the usual Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow (LSF), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation System with Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW), Auto High-Beam (AHB), and Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN). New and exclusive to the RS variant, however, is a new LaneWatch blind spot camera that’s also found in the Civic RS.

The 2023 Honda HR-V RS is now available at all dealers nationwide for P1,739,000.
