Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has used the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) to revive the Ralliart nameplate. Through this announcement, they also unveiled a Strada and Montero Sport with Ralliart accessories.
Starting with the exterior of the two models, both the Strada and Montero Sport receive red garnishes on the front and/or rear bumper, red mud flaps, and a blacked-out roof and alloy wheels. Both models also get side graphics that represent the colors of Ralliart, while the Montero Sport gets a rear tailgate spoiler and the Strada gets its unique Ralliart Bedliner. For reference, the Ralliart package is only for the Montero Sport Black Series 2WD and Strada GLS 4×2 AT, which retail for P2,129,000 and P1,429,000.
As for the interior of these two models, they practically remain the same as the Ralliart enhancements are only limited to their exterior.
Likewise, in terms of powertrains, both models are unchanged from the standard models. Both the Strada and Montero Sport continues to feature a 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbo diesel engine that produces 181 hp and 430 Nm of torque. This is mated to a 6-speed automatic in the case of the Strada or an 8-speed automatic in the case of the Montero Sport.
Ralliart’s revival was first announced in Thailand a year ago, wherein special edition models of the Strada, Montero, and Mirage were released in the aforementioned country. For now, the Philippines is only getting Ralliart versions of the Strada and Montero, especially considering that these are some of the brand’s more popular models in the country.
