Mazda Philippines has quietly updated the CX-3 for the 2023 model year. What’s new for the 2023 Mazda CX-3 is a lower base price with its new Activ variant, whilst having more features for the Sport variant.
Previously, the facelifted 2022 CX-3 was available in Elegance and Sport, both of which carried similar P1,490,000 price tags. Now, the Elegance has been discontinued in favor of a new, entry-level Activ variant. Its features are practically similar to the Elegance it replaces, such as the 16-inch alloy wheels, 7-speaker Bose sound system, synthetic leather interior, reverse camera, and wireless Apple CarPlay for the Mazda Connect infotainment, but it now costs P100,000 less at P1,390,000.
Serving as the pinnacle of the CX-3 range is the Sport variant, which gets much more feature content compared to the 2022 model. It now gets 18-inch gunmetal wheels, genuine leather seats, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, a head-up display, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 360-degree camera, blind spot warning, and rear cross traffic alert. Despite the added features, the CX-3 Sport’s P1,490,000 is unchanged from the 2022 model year.
As for engines, they’re still unchanged for the 2023 model year. Both CX-3s share the same 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G gasoline engine that produces 150 hp and 195 Nm of torque, with power being sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic.
The 2023 Mazda CX-3 is now available across all Mazda dealerships nationwide. Of course, as with every new Mazda, a free 5-year maintenance program comes as standard that significantly lowers ownership costs along with a 3-year bumper-to-bumper warranty.
