The all-new 2024 Maserati GranTurismo has finally made its debut after a very lengthy teaser campaign. As one of the most popular grand tourers out there, the Maserati GranTurismo did not completely rewrite the formula. Instead, the Italian luxury automaker refined all of its details whilst also introducing an electric Folgore model that’s ready for the future.
From the outside, the 2024 Maserati GranTurismo is more of an evolution of its predecessor. It looks very familiar, but with smoother lines and a more sculpted front and rear end. In keeping with its grand tourer nature, the front wheels have been moved further away from the doors to create an even longer hood.
Three variants are available, all of which have very subtle styling differences. The Modena (in white) has a black front chin while the sportier Trofeo’s (in red) has body-colored sections on its side. The all-electric Folgore (in brown) comes with a smaller grille and smaller side air intakes. While all variants come with 20- and 21-inch wheels at the front and rear, respectively, the designs differ across the three variants. It is the Folgore that looks distinct due to its Y-shaped design.
Maserati, unfortunately, did not release any interior photos, though we expect high-quality materials that are befitting of the brand. Expect some of the tech found in the Grecale, such as the Maserati Intelligent Assistant dual-screen infotainment system, fully-digital gauges, and a digital smartwatch replacing the analog clock. Also, this long grand tourer can supposedly accommodate four adults due to the unique design of its roof.
As for engines, the Modena and Trofeo are both powered by the same Nettuno 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 from the MC20 sports car. In the case of the Modena, it produces 490 hp and 600 Nm of torque and is good for a 0-100 kph time of 3.9 seconds. On the other hand, the Trofeo’s power output increases to 550 hp and 650 Nm of torque, which is good for a 0-100 kph time of just 3.2 seconds.
The most powerful of them all, however, is the one that doesn’t make any noise. The fully-electric Folgore comes with a tri-motor setup that has a combined output of 751 hp and 1,350 Nm of torque. This is good for a 0-100 kph time of just 2.7 seconds. The 92.5 kWh battery pack is arranged in a T-bone and it comes with an 800-volt architecture for fast charging.
The 2024 Maserati GranTurismo is scheduled to begin deliveries in the second quarter of 2023. A Philippine launch will most likely happen in the last quarter of 2023 or early 2024.
