The next-generation 2023 Honda Accord is being prepared for launch. As a matter of fact, the Accord is set to be launched in November, which means we don’t have to wait too long to see the next generation of Honda’s midsize sedan.
The Japanese automaker released three teaser photos of the next-generation Accord. Let’s start first with the exterior. Earlier this year, patent photos of the 2023 Honda Accord (as shown) were leaked. These exterior teaser photos tie in with the patent photos, which means we’re definitely going to see an Accord with fastback styling and low-slung proportions. This is unlike the outgoing Accord, which somehow looks like an enlarged 10th-generation Civic.
Honda also previewed the interior of the 2023 Accord, though it only showcases the new infotainment system and a digital gauge cluster. Speaking of the infotainment, it’s the largest ever fitted to a Honda at 12.3 inches. Oh, and remember when Honda announced its partnership with Google? The Accord will be the first vehicle to benefit from this tech. As seen in the teaser photo, the operating system mixes Honda’s own with Google’s capabilities such as Google Assistant, Google Maps, and even the Play Store. This should make Honda’s infotainment system one of the most cutting edge in its segment when it finally gets released.
It’s also interesting to note that just like the Civic and all-new CR-V, the Accord also carries a similar interior aesthetic. Take a peek at the interior teaser photo even more, and you’ll see the honeycomb pattern running across the interior’s width.
No powertrain details have been revealed yet, but we’re confident that Honda will release a set of turbocharged VTEC engines and a hybrid version as well. Honda also says that the Accord will “bring the excitement back to the midsize sedan segment”.
The 2023 Honda Accord will be unveiled this November, and it will first go on sale in North America before heading to other markets. Its future in the Philippines is still in question because the Accord was recently dropped from Honda Cars Philippines, Inc.’s lineup earlier this year.
