Volkswagen Philippines created a teaser campaign a few weeks ago showcasing the front end of what seems to be a new subcompact crossover SUV. As it turns out, what they’ve been teasing all along is a new color for the Volkswagen T-Cross.
The Volkswagen T-Cross, which was originally launched in 2021, now comes with a set of new colors, and it’s headlined by the new Makena Turquoise. Other new colors also include Pure White and Moonstone Grey. These new hues, join the other available colors which are Syringa Violet, Tribu Yellow, and Romance Red.
This is literally just a new color launch, therefore, the Volkswagen T-Cross continues to be powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 113 hp and 145 Nm of torque. This is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic.
Near the end of 2021, Volkswagen Philippines updated the T-Cross with the new Active Information Display (AID). With AID, information is provided in a clear and legible manner through an 11.7-inch LCD screen. Also part of the update is wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity, which means cables are now optional if you want to hook up your iPhone to the car’s infotainment display.
Other features that the T-Cross gets include a panoramic sunroof, smart entry with push button start, combination synthetic leather and suede seats, and LED headlights, just to name a few.
If you’re compelled to get a new Volkswagen T-Cross, the subcompact SUV retails for P1,340,000 for the sole SE variant that’s left available.
