2023 Isuzu D-Max Updated In PH, Starts At 1.390M

The 2023 Isuzu D-Max has received a very minor facelift, giving it a sportier exterior and an all-black interior scheme.

Isuzu Philippines recently launched the updated 2023 Isuzu D-Max last weekend at Alabang Town Center. With the D-Max now being a couple of years old, this pickup is already due for a mid-cycle facelift–albeit a very minor one at that.

For this facelift, the 2023 Isuzu D-Max receives a few minor aesthetic upgrades to keep it competitive, but these are limited to the LS-A and LS-E variants. This starts with its sportier black and chrome gray grille, while new 18-inch black wheels give it a splash of aggression. Another highlight is its new Islay Gray color, which gives this pickup more character. Moving inside, Isuzu has swapped the brown interior of the LS-E in favor of an all-black affair.

Well, that’s about it in terms of aesthetic changes because features-wise, the D-Max is still the same as before. There’s a 10.1-inch locally-sourced infotainment that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto across the LS-A and LS-E variants, while the top-of-the-range LS-E benefits from a power-adjustable driver’s seat, black leather upholstery, rear aircon vents, but still none of the features we’re now looking for in a 4×4 model, namely the locking rear differential that its Mazda BT-50 sibling has.

The engine of the 2023 Isuzu D-Max range is still the same–a 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX turbo diesel engine that produces 190 hp and 450 Nm of torque. This is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. The Rz4E 1.9-liter diesel engine is now limited to just the Single Cab and LT variants.

The Smart Duo Cam suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) is equipped as standard in the LS-E, which is loaded with Blind Spot Monitoring, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Turn Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go Functionality, just to name a few.

Here are the prices of the 2023 Isuzu D-Max range.

  • 3.0 4×2 LS-A MT – P1,390,000
  • 3.0 4×2 LS-A AT – P1,460,000
  • 3.0 4×4 LS-A MT – P1,700,000
  • 3.0 4×4 LS-E AT – P1,905,000

As for the rest of the range, this is how much they now cost:

  • 1.9 LT 4×2 MT – P1,037,000
  • 3.0 Single Cab 4×4 MT – P1,158,000
