Hyundai Motor PH Now Accepting Reservations For Ioniq 6, Priced At P3.798M

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is now available for reservations at any of the brand's five EV dealers in the Philippines.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been a global sensation for the brand, thanks to its retro-futuristic styling, excellent range, and breadth of capabilities which includes its vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality. This has since been followed up by a midsize sedan called the Hyundai Ioniq 6, and the good news is that this sedan is now available for reservations in Hyundai Motor Philippines’ five electric vehicle (EV) dealers: Hyundai Alabang, Hyundai Commonwealth, Hyundai Makati, Hyundai Pampanga, and Hyundai Pasig.

Hyundai Ioniq 6

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 will be sold in a single variant in the Philippines, the 2WD Long Range model. This means that it’s fully loaded to the brim with exterior features ranging from 20-inch wheels, full LED lighting, and flushed door handles. One of the main highlights of the Ioniq 6 is also its exterior design, which Hyundai calls its “streamliner”. The single-curved roof design not only looks striking but also gives this EV a low drag coefficient of just 0.21 Cd–one of the lowest in any production car.

That low drag coefficient enables it to have a range of 545 kilometers, making this one of the longest-range EVs you can buy in the Philippines. If you do need to charge, you can take advantage of the Ioniq 6’s 800-volt architecture that allows for up to 350 kW DC fast charging. This means a 10-80% charge of its 77.4 kWh battery can be achieved in just 18 minutes–given of course that you can find a fast-enough DC charger. Sending power to the ground is a rear-mounted electric motor that produces 229 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque.

Hyundai Ioniq 6 Interior

Inside the Ioniq 6, the design focuses more on providing a cocooned feel as opposed to the Ioniq 5’s lounge-like feel. The high-set center console and the lines of the dash that kicks up to the sides provide the interior with a more sporty feel. The door armrests slope downwards rather than protruding inwards because they no longer feature buttons. Instead, the window controls are now located in the center console. Two 12.3-inch screens, a Bose sound system, and dual-color ambient lighting are some of the features that the Ioniq 6 will come as standard in the Philippines.

Of course, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 will come as standard with the entire Hyundai SmartSense suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), which includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Smart Cruise Control (SCC), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist (PCA), and Lane Following Assist (LFA), just to name a few.

The new Ioniq 6 is now available for reservations in the aforementioned five Hyundai EV dealers at a suggested retail price of P3,798,000.
